Every new CBR roof is backed twice: by the manufacturer of the materials, and by us for the installation. Chris inspects the roof first and is on site for every job across Berkshire County.
If our installation causes a problem, we come back and fix it
CBR gives a 15 to 20-year workmanship warranty on roof work. If a leak, a blow-off or another roof problem comes from how we installed the roof, we return and fix it during that period.
Metal roofs get more. Our metal roof workmanship warranty runs 30 years: we will return for any repairs needed because of our application.
This warranty sits on top of the manufacturer's warranty on the materials, so on a new roof both the materials and the way they were put on are covered. Your estimate and contract cover the scope of your job; ask us to walk you through which warranties apply.
Owens Corning Platinum Protection on shingle roofs
CBR is an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred contractor. Owens Corning reserves that top tier for a small share of roofing contractors and requires strict standards for craftsmanship, licensing, insurance and customer satisfaction.
Platinum Preferred status lets us offer Owens Corning's Platinum Protection limited warranty on qualifying roofs. Depending on the Owens Corning roofing system chosen, coverage can reach up to 50 years of non-prorated material coverage and up to 25 years of workmanship protection backed by Owens Corning itself, including labor for covered repairs and tear-off and disposal if a replacement is needed. The warranty can transfer to the next owner of the house (transfer terms apply).
To qualify, the roof has to be a complete Owens Corning system: shingles, underlayment, ice and water barrier, starter shingles and ridge ventilation, all installed together.
Manufacturer warranties on metal, flat and other systems
Our metal and flat roofing manufacturer warranties guarantee the materials for 50 years.
CBR is also a certified installer for CertainTeed shingles, Carlisle flat roofing systems and Drexel Metals standing seam roofing. Those manufacturers back their products with warranties ranging from 30 to 50 years, depending on the product.

What is the difference between a manufacturer warranty and a workmanship warranty?
A manufacturer warranty covers defects in the materials. A workmanship warranty covers problems caused by how the roof was installed. A new CBR roof carries both.

15 to 20 years on roof work, and 30 years on metal roofs.
Does the warranty transfer if I sell my house?
Owens Corning's Platinum Protection warranty is transferable to future homeowners, subject to Owens Corning's transfer terms. Ask about transfer terms for other systems at your estimate.
